Don't override if empty

"Writing" data in Salesforce, also known as "Push", allows you to create new records as well as delete or update records in your Salesforce account via online form.
If you are intending on updating records in SF you must be aware that some fields in your form may be submitted empty (unless they are all mandatory). This does not pose a problem, however you will need to decide what the desired outcome is for you:
would you like the empty field to override the value that exists in the record - which means that the empty field will clear the value.
or would you like empty field not to affect the existing value.
