SF Push Category - Action

Action

This is the third category in the accordion. This is the category where you define the action performed in Salesforce: You can choose to create a new record, edit an existing one, find a record or delete a record.

This category contains three fields by default:
1- ‘Select an action’ radio button- specifies what you would like to do: Create a new record, update an existing one, find a record or delete a record.
2- Conditions button - this will allow you to add a condition. If you choose "Create" or "Delete" you will not be required to set a condition, however, if you choose "Update" or "Find" setting a condition will be mandatory.
3- "Ignore Assignment Rules" checkbox - this field will appear on the right side after the "Create" option was chosen in the ‘Select an action’ radio button. however, please note that each option selected from the  ‘Select an action’ radio button will result in other fields displaying on the right.
4- Validate fields checkbox - when this is turned on FormTitan will make sure the fields you are about to push really do exist in Salesforce. If a certain field does not exist - then FormTitan disregards it and does not attempt to push it along with the other fields. (That is because if you try push values into a field that does not exist in Salesforce it will cause the entire push action to fail).

If you choose "Create",
for example, you will see only 1 field:
"Ignore Assignment Rules" checkbox -  turning on this option means that the data pushed in this integration line will not be processed through your assignment rules in Salesforce.

If you choose  "update", you will see 4 fields on the right:
- "If multiple matches found take ID from" radio button - if your condition results in multiple matches found you can choose which to use: the "first", the "last", "All" to apply the update on all records found,  "Skip" to pass over the mapping completely or Create a new record.
- "if not found any match"  radio button - If your condition results in no matches found you can choose between creating a new record or skipping the mapping altogether.
- "Don't override if empty:" checkbox - this option makes sure that any fields are left empty by the form filler, it will not cause the existing values in your Salesforce fields to be overridden and erased.
. "Ignore Assignment Rules" checkbox

If you choose "Find" you will get:
- "If multiple matches found take ID from" radio button
- "if not found any match"  radio button

and if you choose "Delete" you will see only:
- "If multiple matches found take ID from" radio button
