How to convert a lead to a contact
In certain circumstances you need to convert a lead to a contact, create a new account and opportunity.
You can do so by using the Convert Lead object when pushing data to Salesforce:
Now all you have to do is map the fields, the most important one is the lead id which is the lead to convert:
We have specified to set the lead status to "Closed - Converted", we are creating a new contact and account but not creating a new opportunity in this example.
If you map the account id to an existing account then the new contact will belong to that existing account and a new account will not be created.
