Improved reference to other object fields in mapping

Last updated Feb 10 2019

In this version we are providing a new and improved way to Reference SF fields .
Till now when configuring your Get action you always choose an object at the beginning and then most of the mapping (if not all) contains fields included in this object.
However, It's a long time now that we have also been supporting the option to reference related fields from another object.
So if, for example, you have a Get action to draw Contact information, the chosen object is of course “Contact” and this allows you to map your form fields to Contact object fields. But by choosing an ID field, like Account ID you can also reference to another object and draw data from the Account object, for example.

In this version we have made a small layout change in the mapping, when you reference the fields, but more importantly - the reference now supports object junctions it did not before (Polymorphic field relationships). For example: till now when drawing an attachment object in a Get action you could reach the Parent ID, but it pointed by default to the Account object. So in fact, you could not reference a Contact field or a Case field from the Attachment object.
This is all changed now - we have opened up possibilities, allowing you to choose which object you want to refer to as the Attachment parent.

Enjoy!
