Word add-in: Manually adding a condition in an existing table column

In our last version we added the ability to manually add a field to an existing table column, but each time you edited the Table element, it would reset the table and the additional field would be removed.
Same goes for the styles applied in the columns  - they also reset once the table was edited.
so as you can understand this feature was incomplete and we had to tie loose ends. In this version we've made sure that any changes made
to the table, whether add fields are concerned, or added styles, would not be affected whatsoever when the table is edited.
