Mapping fields from levels in your Salesforce Table

Last updated Jun 28 2018

The Salesforce table is a smart element that not only displays information from your Salesforce account, but it can also enable your fillers to update, delete and export data through it.
When you create the table, all you have to do is map the columns to the relevant SF fields so that data will be drawn into them and when they are changed- it will update the data back to Salesforce.  So this is the basic, straightforward mapping.

In addition to it you can add more fields that you would like to update in the EDIT/ADD modal windows, and have their data either drawn from Salesforce like the rest , or have them populated with a value that was entered in a different field in the form  (outside of the table). This way the user doesn't have to fill the field again. Those were the options up till now.

Recently a user asked us why she couldn't map values from the table itself to the fields  we added in the Edit/ Add windows. We thought it was a really good idea and we made it possible - So many thanks to Batsheva Epand, Program Director at Hillel Non-profit organization :-).
In this version, thanks to her,  you’ll all be able to map fields from any level in your SF Table to fields in your Edit  / Add windows.
