Word add-in: Refresh Salesforce cache

Sometimes you make changes in your Salesforce account (like adding fields, editing them or deleting them) while working with the Word add-in. You then expect these changes to reflect in your work, don’t you? You expect, for example, that a field you’ve added to an object in SF is also accessible in the Word composer. Problem is there is such a thing called Cache, which can prevent you from seeing updates.
For this reason, we’ve made sure you can refresh your Salesforce cache from within the Word composer:
- Using a refresh icon in the “Preview” tab
- A refresh link was added to the ‘Insert field’ and ‘insert table’ windows.
- Once you login to the composer the cache will refresh automatically.
