Load a Picklist from Salesforce based on Record type

Last updated May 15 2019

In this video we will show you  how you can get a Picklist from Salesforce with its record type restrictions.

We will show you:

- How to drag a Dropdown element.
- How to remove all of its default items and sync it from Salesforce (so it populates the SLA picklist from the Account object).
- Two record types we have set up in Salesforce: RT (that has 4 items) and RT2 (that has 2 items).
- How to open the Get integration that was automatically set up by FormTitan and add the Record type filtering.
- Turn on the filtering and choose the how to filter: based on a hidden field or a static value you enter.
- In this example we've already added two hidden fields that store the record type IDs. - so we'll choose one of them (RT2).
- How to test the form and see that you have 2 options in the picklist.
- How to change the mapping to : RT and see that now 4 items are displayed in the dropdown.

In addition:
We will show you how this works seamlessly with dependant fields as well.

You can do it with Repeat!

Can this also work within a Salesforce Table if you allow the user to have edit or add capabilities with a picklist? As in, can the picklist in the edit or add pop up box also be filtered by record type?
