Can I create a condition to show / hide my Section tabs?

Last updated Jun 03 2018

Sure you can - it works same as showing / hiding any other element.
Following is a step by step example:

1- Drag a section, and make it bigger.

2-

Go to ‘Properties’ panel > ‘Element’ tab > ‘Settings’ option > ‘Basic’ category

Turn on the ‘Enable tabs’ checkbox

3- Press on the ‘Add item’ button and create 2 tabs: First tab and Second tab
4- Select the first tab on canvas and drag a numeric field in to it.
Select the second tab and drag an email field into it.

5-

Drag a textbox element and go to its settings to add a condition.

6-

press on the ‘Configure conditions’ button and set the following:

-
Rule 1: if Current field contains amy
→ then make first tab Active and second tab Hide.
- Rule 2: if Current field contains benny
→ then make first tab Hide and second tab Active.
- Rule 3: if Current field is empty
→ then make first tab and second tab Show.

Please note that there are 4 result options:

- ignore: which does not affect the tab.
- Show: which makes the tab appear.
- Hide: which makes the tab Hide.
- Active: which makes the tab appear and in focus (active).
7- Save the form
8- Test the form:
- Publish it as URL
- Enter amy in the textbox - you will see only the first tab
- enter benny in the textbox - you will see only the second tab
- delete the text in the textbox - you will see both tabs
