How can I add an on click event to the form button?

Last updated Oct 26 2018

There are many FormTitan button types and each one has its own fuctionallity. However you can add an 'On Click' event to any button, enabling it to do much more and also affect fields in the form: making them Hide or Show, Enabled or Disabled etc.

Following is an example:
1- Create a new blank form.
2- Drag a Textbox and a signature element.

3- Drag a Button element.

While it is selected go to: Properties panel > Element tab > Settings option > Basic category.

4- Change the Button type to "Reset signature', and choose the Signature element in the dropdown below.

5- Open the "Advanced" category and turn on the 'on click event' checkbox.

6- A window will open and you will need to set your desired events. for example:
Textbox Set value Amy

7- Now test your form
- Publish the form as URL
- Enter a signature and press on the "Clear" button

You will see that the Signature is removed and the value "Amy" is set inside the Textbox field.
