The 'Use system value' property in the Hidden field allows you to store information from the form filler's browser.
Once your Hidden field is configured to capture the values, you can then set conditional logic that will be based on it.
Following are steps to do this:
- Create a new form
- Drag a hidden field ('Elements' panel > 'Widgets' category > Hidden)
- While the hidden is selected on canvas, go to the elements settings: 'Properties' panel > 'Element' tab > 'Settings' option
- Open ‘Use system value’ dropdown and choose, for example ‘Language’.
- The hidden field like its name suggests is not visible to the filler on the form, however, as the owner of the form, you can make it visible (to yourself only) for debugging purposes, while you are logged in.
So go to ‘Properties’ panel > Form > Settings > Press ‘View more’ > ‘Debug mode’ category >
- Turn on the ‘Show hidden fields’ checkbox
- Save your form and test it
- you will see that the language code identified on the form is “en-us”. Which means English - United states.
For more language codes see this.
