Can I set Office 365 as my custom mail server?

Last updated Jul 29 2020

FormTitan allows you to have your form emails sent from a custom email server of your choice, for example: Office 365.
In order to use office 365 as your custom mail server you need to do the following:

1- Enter your FormTitan account.
2- Open the "User" sub menu and select "My account" page.
3- Go to the "Mail Settings" tab.

4- Turn on the "Enable" checkbox.
5- Set the SMTP mail server settings:
Host : Server host url, Default : smtp.office365.com
Port : Default : 587
User : YOUR EMAIL
Password: YOUR PWD

6- Turn on the "Secure connection" checkbox if your mail server requires it. (this is optional).
7- Turn on the "Use FormTitan mail server as fallback" if you wish for the FormTitan server to provide a backup and send the emails when your server is not sending them, for some reason. (This is also optional).
8- Test the emails.
Simply configure a test email (on the right side) and send it to one of your accounts, so you can check it.
- Enter the properties:
To - Enter an email address you want the email to be sent to.
From - Enter an email address.
Subject - Enter text that will appear in the email subject line.
Body - Enter a text that will appear in the email body.
- Press on the "Test mail" button and check the email received. You will see that FormTitan is not mentioned and that the "From email" contains your custom mail server user address.
