Voice Control

Last updated Oct 15 2018

The voice Control feature is an experimental feature. It allows the form to:
- "Speak" to the fillers, pronouncing the names of the fields and their User tips out loud.
- Recognize the fillers speech
- Enter the fillers oral text in the input boxes.

Adding voice control to your form is simple. Following is a step-by-step example
:
1- Create a new blank form
2- Drag a Textbox element and a Numeric element.

3- Select the Textbox element on canvas and go to ‘properties’ panel > ‘Element’ tab > ‘Settings’ option > ‘Basic’ category
- change the label to “Name”
- Add a user tip: “Please enter your full name”. The user tip is a text that appears when a filler hovers above this field in the form.

4- Select the Numeric element on canvas and go to ‘properties’ panel > ‘Element’ tab > ‘Settings’ option > ‘Basic’ category
- Change the label to “Age”
- Add a user tip: “Please enter your age”.

5- Turn on the voice control feature
Go to ‘properties’ panel > ‘Element’ tab > ‘Settings’ option > ‘Optimization’ category  and turn on the ‘voice control’ checkbox.

6- Press on the ‘Configure’ button to open the voice settings.
The modal window will now open and you will see that there are 2 categories:
Speech - which controls how Titan will speak. (in what language, in what voice, in what speed etc).
Voice recognition - which allows you to configure some commands that Titan can understand, so when the filler pronounces them - titan will do as they say. For example : Next page, Reset field etc.

7- Open the ‘Speech’ category
- Turn on the ‘Read on focus’ checkbox - this means that when a field gets focus Titan will announce it (pronouncing its label text and user tip).
- Turn on the ‘Read modal messages’ checkbox - this means that when a modal window appears, either for an error message or a thank you message, Titan will read the text of the message aloud.
- pitch: a number between 0-2 (0  is lowest, 2 highest and 1 is default) that will define the pitch that Titan will utter the words in. You don’t have to fill it in if you don't wish to - it will use the default value.
- Rate: a number between 0.1--10 that will define the speed in which Titan speaks. (1 is the default rate, 2 is twice as fast, and 0.5 is half as fast).
Again - you do not have to fill this in if you don’t want to.
- Volume: a number between 0--10 that will set the speech volume. 10 is also the default.
- Language: This is a required field that will define in what language Titan will be conversing. Open the dropdown to choose the language.
In this example i chose: English.
- Voice: this property will enable you to choose the voice in which Titan will speak. In this example i chose: Google UK English Female.
- DateTime captions: Date / Hours / Minutes: If you are using a Datetime element in your form you will be able to specify a caption for its components here.
Test: This textarea allows you to fill in some text and play it, in order to test your voice configurations. In addition, each time you make an alteration in the settings the test will run automatically, so you can hear the change.

8- Open the 'Voice recognition' Category.
- Turn on the 'Start Voice Recognition automatically' checkbox - to activate voice recognition.
-Turn on the 'Automatically move to next field' checkbox - if you want the cursor to move to the next field after the field in entered.
- Set your own text for a few commands the filler can use:
next page - to make Titan move to the next page in a multi page form
back page - to make Titan move to the previous page in a multi page form
submit - to make Titan submit the form
next - to make Titan move to the next field in the form
back - to make Titan move to the back field in the form
reset field - to make Titan clear a specific field
reset form - to make Titan clear all of the fields in the form
