File upload new properties

Last updated Aug 19 2018

The file upload element is sometimes the most important part of the online form. It allows you to collect required files from your form fillers: Images, Cv's, spreadsheets, PDF documents, signed approval documents, audio files etc.
In this version we've made two additions to this field:

1- Allow accept
The File Upload element, once clicked on, opens a browser window so the filler can search for the file he wishes to upload. The browse window can display all types of files, but it can also display only a few file types, according to your custom specifications. So if, for example, you want your filler to upload only JPG and PNG files you could have his window filter out all the other file types when it displays the content of his computer.

2- Allow capture
This property allows your form filler to capture a file on the fly (an image from a camera, an audio file from a microphone or a video file from a camcorder) and then have it attached to the form, instead of just choosing an existing file to load.
This capability is  mostly useful when filling in a form via mobile phone, however it can also be used in other devices.
If you choose to set the ‘camera’ option, for example, your form filler’s camera application will open right after he clicks on the file upload field. He will then be able to take a photo and when he’s done - it will be attached automatically to the form.
