Controlling which fields may not be editable or creatable in Salesforce mapping

Last updated May 18 2018

Those that are used to working with Salesforce on a regular basis already know that the fields they create can sometimes be defined as uneditable or non-creatable via API.
This is important to know, since it clearly affects your Salesforce integration mapping. I mean, if you are trying to update fields belonging to a certain Salesforce object and you are aware that some of them are not editable - shouldn’t you somehow exclude the ones you cannot update or create from your mapping?
Well, this is exactly what we came up with. In this version we have added 2 more options to the 'Configure' modal window in the Salesforce Mapping:
- Don't use for update
- Don't use for create
These checkboxes allow you to instruct your mapping to exclude the relevant fields from the update or create actions.

Enjoy!
