When a form filler enters his address in your form (in an address field or in a Textbox) you want it to be valid, So in order to make sure the address is real you need to use the Address validation option in the Value Rule. This option validates the address based on Google Maps API, so once it is turned on the form filler will not be able to enter a non existing address. Furthermore, as he starts typing the address he will be shown a few suggestions according to the values he entered so far..
Lately it has come to our attention that users, who are trying to have their New zealand and Australian addresses validated, find the Google maps API lacking and rather use a different application for their verified addresses called AddressFinder.
To make a long story short, we checked out this application and decided to add a new value rule that validates addresses in New zealand and Australia.
Please note that this value rule is only available in the Textbox element.
How do I set up the address validation for New zealand and Australia?
- create a new blank form
- Drag a textbox to store the address in
- Make the address element wider
- Select the ‘Textbox’ on canvas and go to ‘Properties’ panel > ‘Element’ tab > Settings option > Value rule
