Create custom message when Skip in SF Get

Last updated Feb 08 2019

When creating a Get integration with Salesforce you need to authenticate, choose an SF object,  configure a condition (or populate on load)
and then specify what happens If multiple matches are found.
You can choose "First", "Last" or "All"  and you also have the option to specify "Skip" , which means that if multiple matches are found the
mapping part will be skipped.
In this kind on situation (when Skip is used) the form filler will not see a result, and this can cause confussion, so it is recommended to provide a custom message that will make everything clear to the person filling in the form.

This post will show you how to add a custom message when the "Skip" option is used.

1- Create a new "Blank" form.
2- Drag a Textbox element from this "Elements" panel (on the left) and drop it on the canvas.
Chnage its label text to "Account"

3-

Give your form a name ("Properties" panel > Form > Settings > General > Basic > General)
and save it.

4-

Create your Salesforce integration.
- Go to: "Properties" panel > "Form" tab > "Settings" option > "Salesforce integration" category > Get
- Press on "map fields" button

- Authenticate with Salesforce

- Select an SF object
- Turn on the "Execute on form load" checkbox

- Open the "Condition" category and choose "Skip" in the "If multiple matches found take ID from" radio button.

- Open the "Map fields" category and set the following mapping:
Accunt --> Account ID

- Press "Apply"  and you will see a single integration line was created
- Press "Apply" and save the form

5- Now it's time to test the form:
- Publish it as URL

- The form will load and you will now see the message you configured
