Generate a PDF directly from Salesforce: Classic

In this demo we will show you FormTitan Salesforce App for generating documents from within Salesforce
We will focus on the Classic version and show you how to generate docs via button or outbound message.


Buttons
The App provides ready made buttons for the standard objects (Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and Cases) and you can also add these buttons for your custom objects.

To start using these buttons you will need to:
1- Install the FormTitan App,

2- Add the button to your layout.
- in the Detail page
- in the List view page

3- Configure your custom settings URL in Salesforce
- Go to your form in FormTitan > PDF settings > Salesforce button > Press Configure
- Copy the 'custom settings URL'
and paste it in Salesforce > Custom settings > Manage > Private URL > Edit 
- Paste in the URL textbox.

4- Enter our form in FormTitan > PDF settings > Salesforce button
and configure the connection to the Salesforce button:
- Select the object we're working with.
- Select the form field that will store the object ID from Salesforce.

5- In FormTitan: Go to 'My account' > Collaborators 
- add collaborators from Salesforce. You can pull of the Salesforce users via Search
- select our current user.
- Set the permissions for this user

6- Go back to the object in Salesforce (Detail page) and press on the "FT generate" button.
Select the form and press on the ''generate.' button - this will create the PDF with the information from your record.
The document will also be stored as an attachment/file or document 
You can also View the PDF and download it if you want.

7- You can also generate a bulk of documents from the List view page.
- Select the records you want to generate the PDF for.
- Press on the 'FT generate' button
- Select the form/s
- Press on 'Generate button'

8- You can also send the forms to the customers via email

Outbound message
1- In FormTitan: Go to your form > PDF settings > Salesforce workflow outbound message
again- we will need to configure the connection to Salesforce: 
- Select the object we're working with.
- Select the form field that will store the object ID from Salesforce.

2- Grab the endpoint URL, (so you can paste it in our Salesforce workflow in the following item)
3- In Salesforce goto Workflow rules > your object > Create a new rule for this object
- Give it a name
- Configure the rule
- Add a workflow action:  outbound message
- Paste the 'Endpoint URL'
- and make sure we're sending the object ID (as well as other fields you may need)
- Save workflow rule and activate it.
