When you enable your form filler to update records in Salesforce through your form, you don't always want to make all fields mandatory, you sometimes want to leave him/her the option to leave the field empty.
However, if you allow the filler to submit empty fields you must decide how the empty value will affect its mapped field in the relevant Salesforce record: will it override the existing data in the field or will it have no effect on it?
