Field conditions for creating a smart form

Pressing on the "Configure fields options" button will open the following window: Here you will be required to specify what will happen once your condition terms have been met. Simply choose the elements you would like to affect and specify the desired result for each.

How do I set a condition?

Following are the window's components and how to use them:

1- ‘Filter’ textbox (on the top left)
Using this search box to look for specific fields in the list.

2- 'Show' list box
This dropdown will enable you to determine what part of the data to view. For example "All", "Mapped", "Read-only" etc.

2- 'Bulk apply' listbox
Bulk apply will allow you to specify the same result for all the fields in the list at once.
The options are:
Ignore - which means the fields will not be affected. This is the default.
Show - which means all fields will appear if the condition is met.
Hide - which means all fields will disappear if the condition is met.
Enable - which means all fields will become enabled.
Disable - which means all fields will become disabled.
Mandatory - which means all fields will become mandatory.
Not mandatory - which means all fields will change to 'not mandatory'.

3- Result Actions
These gray rows contain actions you can run as a result of the condition. It includes the following:
- Set focus - this allows you to have the cursor focus on a certain field once the condition is met.
- Show message - this enables you to have a custom message appear once the condition is met.

- Execute button - This allows you to use one of the many button functionalities such as submit, reset, go next, etc.
- Execute JS - An option to set JavaScript code as a result. Watch the video about using JS functions in your condition results.

4- Form Fields
The main part of the window is a list of all of the form fields (their names on the left of each row), and a dropdown of results for each field (on the right side of each row). All you have to do is select the field you want to affect and open its dropdown to choose the appropriate result.

The result options are:
Ignore - This is the default option for all elements. it means the element will not be affected at all from the condition.
Show, Hide - These options cause elements to appear or disappear based on your statement.
Enable, Disable - These options apply to input elements only, making them eligible for input or not.
Mandatory, Not mandatory - These options apply to input elements only, changing them to required or unrequired fields.
Set value - This option will insert the value you specify inside the selected element. Selecting this option will add a textbox and you will need to specify the value in it.
Set value from - This option will also insert a value inside the element, but it will be taken from another element.
Open, Close - These options apply only to a section element, making it collapse or expand based on the condition.
Set CSS - This option will allow you to change the style of the element affected by the condition.
