FTDebugMode=true is a string the form owner can add to his form URL (while he is logged in) that can help him debug it, by revealing the hidden fields in the form and the values they store.
Up till now using this option in forms that stored a value in their Hidden fields after using a custom Salesforce button did not work. Even though you were using the FTDebugMode, you could still not see the values inside the hidden fields in this particular scenario.
