Adding a new record via Salesforce Lookup

Last updated May 10 2019

In this video we will show you how you can enable your fillers to not only search for records via Lookup but also how they can add a new record.

We will show you:

- A form we've set up for this example, which has an Account lookup in it.
- How to add the "Add record" option to your Lookup, which will redirect to another form.
- How to set up the other form so it creates a new Account in Salesforce.
- Test it in action.

You can do it with GET, so basicaly after creating, set the value into a hidden field, and do a GET and map the lookup text and value.

Is there a way to automatically populate the newly created value in the lookup field? For example, in the demo for "little donkey", could you automatically populate the lookup field with "Little Donkey" after you create that account name so you don't have to re-search the name in the lookup?
